Light Miracle Worker! Ok, I was super skeptic at first but I know dermatologists offer services like this and I have been doing research over the last 3 months on light therapy. I had some extra FSA dollars so I decided to give it a try. There are lots of LED lights on the market now but some of them don’t even come with goggles, big red flag. As soon as I opened my dpl IIa, I knew I was in good hands. Comes with goggles, an awesome carrier bag, instructions, and charger. I love that it is large enough to treat my face, neck, chest, back, and hands. It’s only been 3 weeks but already I have had less breakouts. Obviously keeping up with my skin routine too but this is definitely giving it the extra umph that it needed. When I learned about all the benefits of light therapy, I could not wait to get my hands on the dpl IIa. I’ve incorporated the panel into my daily routine, it was easy with the 3 minute treatment time. I use it after I wash my face and before I put on my moisturizer and makeup to get ready for the day. I use the 3 minutes to meditate and assert intention for my day. I feel like I can sense a difference in my mood if I skip light therapy a few days in a row – like the lights help to keep me in a more positive mind set. I rarely have acne breakouts now that I’ve been using the panel daily for a few months (and if I do, I use a smaller spot treatment device to knock it out quickly). I feel like my face produces less oil now and has a happier balance. I want to start on my chest area next, trying to combat the years of sun damage from wearing tank tops too often!

The results are amazing! In a month I have seen my skin become brighter, more luminous, my skin tone has evened out and my pores are diminished. I can’t say it has treated my existing breakouts, but it has kept pimples from developing and has minimized the small bumps and texture on my skin. The reason I give it 4 stars is that it’s heavy and bulky and not easy for travel. I wish it was a mask and cordless that I could wear around the house, but given that it’s only a 3 minute treatment it’s fine that you have to stay put connected to a power source. The fact that treatment times are only 3 minutes is a huge plus! It is a bit heavy and large for travel as it takes up a lot of space in your bag. But I literally can’t go a day without it now that I’ve started using it!
