The product arrived as described. It seems to be working fine. The elimination of the shoe odors is noticeable. I suppose there are no odors because there are now no microorganisms causing them.

I got this as a gift for my mom. She is thrilled and has been using it on all her shoes! I’m not sure if I can update later on our experience but I’ve had good luck with every other form of light therapy for health for a point of reference. It’s harder to measure the effectiveness of sanitation devices at home but I’ve seen firsthand how helpful oral blue/red light (stopped my bleeding!) has been & infrared keeps me moving. With that in mind, I know it’s not always about what we can see. However, we are hoping in time we can see & smell some results. The workout shoes being treated tend to lose some lifespan due to sweat. Other than getting them dry after use, we want to reduce microbial activity by using these UV lights.

This is not a true UVC light. I tested it with a Quantdose card and it confirmed that this device is useless. The company refused to issue me a discount. Buyer beware.

  Hi Valerie, our device contains a combination of UVA, UVB, and UVC lights. The combination of different UV lights covers a broad spectrum, which allows the treatment of different bacteria and fungus typically found in shoes. Due to the broad spectrum of lights in our device, it is possible the UVC card being used may not be detecting the UVC.

Is there a problem with leaving the power adapter always plugged? Is the 15" timer in the power adapter and will burn out if always plugged? I Horacio Munar asked on May 12, 2022

Do the bulbs ever burn out and they have to be replaced? Lisa Reilly asked on February 5, 2022

The LED’s will become less effective over time. Under normal use, LEDs will last on average between 3 to 5 years. The LED’s are not replaceable. It would be recommended to purchase a new device with the latest design and innovations along with one that will have brand new LED’s providing maximum benefit during treatments.

Does this work with heels or sandals? Sab asked on January 28, 2022

Yes, the Shoe Sanitizer will work with heels & sandals. However, in the case of shoes that are not enclosed (such as sandals), we recommend putting them in a shoe box or container during treatments, this will prevent the lights from shining outside the treatment area and into the eyes.
