This device features light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that release specific wavelengths to benefit your skin with three distinct settings:
Both the Lux Glo and Lux Essentials use a combination of Infrared (I/R) 880nm, Deep Red 660nm, Red 630nm and Amber 605nm LEDs for anti-aging, designed to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin cells, reversing wrinkles and fine lines. The acne setting uses a combination of Blue 415nm & Red 630nm LEDs to reduce acne flare ups, stabilize oil glands and purify skin. The combination setting will utilize all of the lights and benefits listed above! The difference in the Lux Glo and Lux Essentials is the treatment area size, shape of the device and price. The Lux Glo treatment area is 1" in diameter while the Lux Essentials is slightly larger at 1.65"x1.37" (approximately). The Lux Glo is a "wand" shape while the Lux Essentials is similar size and shape to a computer mouse. The Lux Essentials also include a proximity sensor to ensure proper usage and save battery life. Hi Ana, the Lux Collection Essentials will be slightly smaller than the Lux Collection Clinical device. The Lux Essentials measures 1.65 inches x 1.37 inches, which is a treatment area of approximately 2.25 inches squared. The Lux Clinical treats approximately 2.5 inches squared. The Essentials Anti-Aging does not come with goggles or a charging cord. The Essentials light head is designed in a triangular shape to allow better contact with the contours of the face. The light head should be placed directly on the skin, and should not shine into the eyes. If you find your eyes are sensitive to the light, you can purchase protective goggles in our store. The USB charging cord can be bought at most convivence stores.

The Clinical Anti-Aging and Essentials Anti-Aging use the same types of LEDs, so yes, the Essentials is a smaller version of the Clinical. All of reVive Light Therapy acne devices have blue and red lights that work together (The Lux Collection also has an acne setting which uses blue and red lights together). The blue light helps fight all bacteria and the red light helps to repair, refresh and rejuvenate skin cells. Not happy I couldn’t return. I should have read the fine print. It broke me out and made me have worse bumps and made my face more inflamed. A hundred bucks gone. I wrote email and it was responded too, but couldn’t return because it was considered a “medical device” and used. Solowave at least allows return for the same type of device. Should have went with them.

In regards to the return policy, our products are classified as medical devices for personal use and are not eligible for return if opened due to hygienic and sanitary reasons. Since our devices are designed for direct contact with the user’s skin, and with the current hygienic climate, we want to keep our customers hygienic safety as a top priority. If these medical-type of items are returnable, it likely means they go back into inventory and there is no guarantee a previously opened and used device is being sold as new. Unfortunately, a different type of return policy would require LED Technologies to increase our product costs which is against our mission to provide these products economically to anyone in need. We want our products to be affordable to everyone not just those with significant incomes.

This is the second device that I have purchased from LED Technologies for use on my face. It was explained to me that the light emission would be less with the Essentials Anti-Aging device so I thought I would give it a try. However, the light emission is about the same as the first device that I purchased and, since I have sensitive eyes, this device will not work for me either, unless I find a goggle that completely seals out the red light emission. The goggles that LED Technologies currently offer do not fully shield out the red light and I have tried three other goggles from Amazon. It would be great if LED Technologies would develop a total-blackout goggle with a sufficient silicone seal to fully block out the light. Other than this, the device operates as described.

I’ve only had this product [Essentials Anti-Aging] for a couple of weeks so can’t comment on its effectiveness, but it’s easy and comfortable to use. I’m hopeful that I’ll begin to see results within the next few weeks. As far as service is concerned, I was very impressed with the excellent communication I received from LED Technologies regarding the status of my order and shipping information. This is the best service I’ve received in a long time!

I was a bit skeptical about light therapy at first, so I opted for this due to the modest price tag. This [Essentials Acne] works great! Redness from pimples is gone within 2-3 treatments and my skin tone is much more even all over. This can bring those pesky “under the skin” zits to a head in 1-2 treatments or they may just disappear without coming to a head. I’m graduating to a dpl II after seeing the amazing results of light therapy, but this will certainly stay in rotation.

This little light is SO COOL. I’ve struggled with acne from the time I was a teenager through adulthood, and especially during the period of wearing face masks. I wish I had found out about light therapy earlier! Now I can treat my acne in just 3 minutes while I watch TV or do any other 1-handed activity lol. The auto-shut off is nice so I do not have to worry about timing myself. The Essentials Acne works great for spot treatment on those big ‘under the skin’ zits. Normally, those will take weeks to come to a head and weeks to months for the blemish to fully heal. With the light therapy, the life cyle of the zit is cut in half or more! It may go away entirely before coming to a head. It definitely heals much quicker afterwards.
