How to Use & Troubleshoot

Operating Instructions for Sonic Cleansing Mode

Insert 2 AAA batteries.
1. To insert the batteries, remove the silicone brush head. Twist the hard plastic cover to the left so the gray mark lines up with the gray dot. Remove the cover and insert the batteries. Place the light head back on the device, align the gray mark and the gray dot. Once aligned, push the light head downward and twist to the right (gray arrow will indicate direction) to secure the light head to the cleansing device.
If you use makeup, remove makeup by hand.
Attach silicone cleansing brush head.
Wet your skin and the brush head with warm water.
Liberally apply cleanser to your skin or the brush head.
Press the power button once to power up device (lights will turn on).
Press second time for gentle sonic, and third time for higher sonic vibration.
Gently move device over the treatment area in small circular motion.
Press and hold power button to turn off device when finished (device will not auto shut-off in Sonic Cleansing Mode).
It is recommended to remove the silicone head after use to allow any moisture between the silicone brush head and the light panel to dry completely.

Operating Instructions for Light Treatment Mode

Insert 2 AAA batteries (see instructions above).
Clean and dry treatment area prior to use.
Turn device on.
Place device directly on the skin over the desired treatment area for 3 minutes.
System will shut off after 3 minutes, for light treatment only.
Move the device to the next treatment area and repeat step 3 and 4.
Press and hold power button to turn off device prior to 3-minute auto shut-off.
Use device daily for best results. Do not exceed 3 treatments per day, per treatment area.

Troubleshooting

Device not turning on:
- Are the batteries fully charged?
- Are batteries aligned correctly?
- Is On/Off button turned on?
- If device still does not turn on, call Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.
Device shuts off abruptly, prior to completion of 3-minute treatment:
- In Light-only mode, device is designed to shut off automatically after 3 minutes.
- Allow device to cool down for several minutes, then attempt to turn device on again.
- If the device continues to shut off prior to 3 minutes, please contact Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.
Some lights appear turned off:
- The infrared (IR) light spectrum is invisible to the human eye. These lights will look as if they are not on, but they are operating properly. If the red lights are on, then the device is operating as designed.

How often should I use the Soniqué Mini for the best acne treatment results?

For acne treatments using blue light therapy you will see results quickly, sometimes after a single treatment. For severe acne breakouts, the number of treatments will increase due to the bacteria levels. Users will start seeing overall skin condition improve as well as diminished breakouts, redness, and irritation of the skin due to acne. It is recommended that you use the light therapy device regularly to keep acne causing bacteria at bay.

How do you insert the batteries?

To insert the batteries, remove the silicone brush head. Twist the hard plastic light head cover to the left so the gray mark lines up with the gray dot. Remove the light head and insert two (2) AAA batteries. There is a diagram on the inside of each battery slot to indicate the direction the battery should face. Make sure you align the batteries correctly. With the batteries in place, put the light head back on top of the device. Align the gray dot to the gray mark located on the side of the light head as illustrated below. With the gray marks aligned, push the light head downward and twist to the right (as gray arrow indicates) to secure the light head in place.

It has really helped my texture, redness and I have less acne. I still don’t understand how to use it with serums. Asked the company and got a generic response that didn’t help at all. But it is worth the money.

The massage head and vibrations from the Sonique Mini will push serums into the skin for maximum absorption. It is recommended to apply serums after you cleanse and before you use the light therapy, but only if they do not contain retinol or SPF (or other light blocking ingredients). This is seriously my favorite skin care tool. I wish I had bought one sooner. Every time I use it, I’m still blown away at how smooth my skin feels afterwards. I love that this is a multi-purpose tool that I can use to clean my face or use as spot light therapy treatment for pesky pimples when they pop up. I’m not in the habit of using serums but curious to try it out now that I have this handy tool to help! I had to buy a second set of brush heads because my husband kept using mine – he loves it too!

I got this device for my 13 year old daughter who started having hormonal acne and just some black heads so far she’s been using this for a few weeks and she LOVES it and even seeing an improvement in such a short time. Would definitely recommend I’m wanting to order the wrinkle one for me I’ve used hers a handful and times and it left my skin feeling clean and soft. I like how it’s silicone and that makes it cleaner and less likely for germs to spread.

If just using it for just light should I have it on the flat plastic (no silicone option) and should it be touching my face or just hovering over it? Brittany asked on January 25, 2022

Hi Brittany, if you are just using the light therapy setting alone then you should remove the silicone head. You will want to touch your skin (you do not need to press) with the light head. Keep the light in place and do not wave or move it around. On the 'lights only' setting, the lights will automatically shut-off after the 3 minute treatment time.
