Unlike a heating pad where you will feel a lot of heat and warmth, the infrared LEDs work under the skin's surface. However, LED's will still generate heat. The length of the treatment time will increase the joules that will generate heat. Most customers report an enjoyable, low-level of heat from our LED devices.
The difference between the Nuve Pain and Clinical Pain is the size. The Nuve Pain has a 4 inch diameter treatment area while the Clinical Pain has approximately 2.5 square inches of treatment area. The dimensions of the Clinical are as follows - Length: 18cm or 7 inches; Handle width at the widest part: 4cm or 1.5 inches; Light head at the widest part: 5.2cm or 2 inches. Approximate treatment area is 2.5 inches squared.
Hi Julia, you can use light therapy for pain relief on pets and some Veterinarians report great results using our products. However, due to the fur the light might not penetrate as effectively as on human skin, if possible try to hold the pet’s hair back during treatment.

Definitely reduces swelling & helps with pain in other areas. Its even working in my mom’s wrinkles from corner of the mouth down! Primarily using it for after effects of radiation treatment for throat cancer. I would like to hear more about successful trials on paralyzed vocal cords in my situation. Please share trial brief if you have any. (Don’t publish from the word Primarily to end)

I love this device. So easy to use and very effective. I use it on my lower back when i have discomfort for about 3 minutes. I used it after some dental work where the root ended up very inflamed (not from infection) and it healed it after awhile. Thank you for providing these devices.
