The dpl® Flex Pad is an FDA-cleared, OTC Class II medical device for pain relief. This flexible system can be used anywhere on the body. Note: You will only see the red LEDs light up when the device is turned on. The other LEDs are in the infrared light spectrum and cannot be seen with the human eye. Please know that if you see red lights while the device is turned on, the device is working (pattern of lights may vary).
Quick-hit tips to help you get the most out of your dpl® Flex Pad, based on our customers’ most Frequently Asked Questions.
Fully charge device (2-4 hours).
Your device may have a residual charge from the factory out of the box, indicated by a solid blue charging light when you turn it on. For best results, fully deplete this charge before plugging your device in.
Your device will require 2-4 hours to fully charge each time. The red indicator light will turn solid (no longer blinking) when charging is complete. A full charge will provide 2 to 3 full 20-minute treatments.
DO NOT recharge battery after each 20-minute treatment. For best results, you should fully deplete the battery before recharging. Failure to do so will progressively shorten battery life.
Battery charge will diminish over time. For best results, conduct treatments within 48 hours of charging.
Wash and dry treatment area prior to use.
Place device directly on the skin over the desired treatment area and secure strap.
To use Large compression strap, fasten center of strap to back of Pad, fasten strap by attaching two ends.
To use Small compression strap, fasten ends of strap to back of Pad, adjust to comfortable fit.
Press the power button to start the device (may require double press). Device must be unplugged to turn on, it will not turn on while plugged in. A blue light on the battery pack will show when the device is turned on.
Leave device over the treatment area for 15-20 minutes.
The device is equipped with an auto shut-off function at 20 minutes.
Press the power button at any time prior to auto shut off to stop the device.
Device may be used multiple times per day. Do not exceed 3 treatments per day, per treatment area.
Device not turning on:
Is the device fully charged?
Is the power button turned on? A blue light on the battery pack will show when the device is turned on.
If device still does not turn on, call Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.
Device is not charging:
Is USB charging cord firmly inserted into device? (Does power indicator light turn on?)
Try different wall outlet to confirm power is available.
If device still does not charge, call Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.
Device shuts off abruptly prior to completion of 20-minute treatment.
Device is designed to shut off automatically after 20 minutes.
Device may shut off automatically after multiple repeated uses if the device exceeds desired temperature. Allow device to cool for several minutes and try again.
If the device continues to shut off prior to 20 minutes, please contact Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.
Some lights appear not to be on:
The Infrared (IR) light spectrum is not visible to the human eye. These lights will look as if they are not on but are operating properly. If red lights are on, the device is operating as designed.

The Flex Pad is designed for pain relief and can be used on the chest, abdomen and other areas of your body (it can be used on the face, but may not be the most comfortable or appropriate device for that application). We do not recommend the Flex Pad for skincare as it contains LED lights in the spectrum that provide pain relief and increased circulation. For skincare, we recommend our line of reVive Light Therapy products that assist with reduction of wrinkles and fine lines as well as acne treatment. Our customers report a multitude of skin conditions that light therapy has helped them with. Hi Carmela, we do not currently offer replacement batteries for the Flex Pad XL. Battery banks can be purchased from most major retailers such as Best Buy, Target, Amazon and online. Battery banks are available with various storage capacities.
