FDA-Cleared LEDs
The dpl® Flex Pad includes two types of LED lights — red and infrared. These LEDs are the same FDA-cleared lights professional physical therapists use in the office. Red light operates close to the skin’s surface to energize cells, while infrared light penetrates further for deep-tissue relief from pain and soreness. Both red and infrared LEDs are UV-free and safe to use.
Be aware that infrared light is invisible to the human eye. It may look like some of the lights are not working, but if you can see the red lights working, the infrared lights are also on.

I use the light pad on my lower back and on my hips most days. But if a knee or hand hurts I find relief right away using the light pad 2-3 days about 3 times a day. I have osteoporosis and some arthritis and the light pad gives me enough relief I haven’t had to take pain medication so far. I have bought the light pad as a gift for a few friends and family after they used mine and found it helpful.

This does eliminate my back pain. I bought it because I don’t want to live on analgesics. I’m a very active person and don’t want pain to get in my way. I ski a lot in the winter and I’m hoping this will get rid of all my aches and pains. I think it’s a plus that it gives out some heat. This is easy to use. Gets into all the places I have pain – knees, lower and upper back. Easy to change. The price was very good too.

Thanks for your feedback. While we are always striving to improve our devices, there are good reasons for what you’re calling out.
Our first priority for all our devices is to ensure they are capable of providing the proper optical energy output which requires quite a bit of energy, hence the charge time, and limits on treatment time.
Secondly, we have to ensure the Flex Pad retains the necessary flexibility to comfortably conform to the variety of treatment areas it can be applied to.
These two factors provide critical performance limitations on the battery life. If we have a larger battery, it reduces the device’s flexibility. If we extend the power demand, we reduce the efficacy of the treatment which is never an acceptable trade-off for us.
To help ensure your Flex Pad is ready to use when you need it, we would recommend that once you’ve completely depleted the battery (typically 3 full 20 minute treatments from a full charge), leave the device on charge until you need it again.

DPL flex does work for pain and inflammation. I used it twice a day for one week I noticed pain was almost gone and the inflammation was reduced by 90%. it took me 5-7 days to see the results. the only “downside” the charge worked for 3 sessions if you have multiple areas it must be recharged. read the instructions make sure it is completed depleted before recharging.
