What is a good indicator for when the filter needs to be replaced? I was using this as my travel air purifier. Now I use it in my office during school hours.

How do you get the filter out?
Hi Jenny. Remove the base of the air purifier - (on the bottom of the device) grip the twist handle and firmly turn the base counter-clockwise. Then, remove the base cover to access the filter. Remove old and insert new filter. Lastly, align the locking notches on the base cover to the air purifier. For your safety, always turn OFF and unplug your air purifier before replacing the filter.

What is a good replacement filter? Since you have none? I need one now. I don't want to wait. What is a comparable replacement for your item?
You can use any filter that fits the device, a filter around 4.25” in diameter and 3.25” in height. We recommend to look at the filter specs to determine if the cleaning capability is to your standard as we have only tested our device with our filter. We will have additional replacement filters shortly once they release from port. Replacement filters will be available from FFF starting in their Winter season.

We like the Personal Air Purifier with blue LED light – it looks nice and works well. The spoiler: Their replacement filters were out of stock for a period of time. I tried to find an open source replacement filter without success. When they were back in stock on the LED Technologies website, I bought 4 filters total. Filter cartridges like this should be priced at ~$5 apiece, not $15 plus shipping. Unfortunately, the cost is not sustainable for my tight budget.
